Paulette Richards

One of my strongest motivations as a teacher is to be the kind of mentor I wanted to have when I was a student. My effectiveness as a teacher therefore derives more from my ability to direct the learning experience than it does from the store of specialized knowledge I bring to the classroom.  The analytical skills I gained while acquiring that knowledge rather than the knowledge itself is what qualifies me to light the way for others.
